Photography Nuts

November, 2024

We were strolling through Richmond Park in London, hoping to capture some shots of the red deer during the rutting season. October is always an exciting time in the park, with stags competing for the attention of hinds, and we had our camera ready, hoping to witness some of the action up close.

Out of nowhere, a cheeky grey squirrel appeared, coming right up to us with that unmistakable look that said, “Got any food?” We thought, why not see how friendly this little guy is? So, we placed a few nuts in the hood of camera lens. To our surprise, the squirrel didn’t hesitate - it hopped onto knee and then right onto the lens, completely at ease as it enjoyed the snacks.

We were a bit stunned and couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of this bold squirrel perched on a camera.

Some of the images were published at The Sun, Daily Telegraph, Irish Daily Star and Yorkshire Post newspapers!
